Catering Franchise For Restaurant At Glenveagh National Park Visitor Centre
Tenders are invited for the operation of the restaurant franchise at Glenveagh National Park Visitor Centre. The Park is managed by the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.
NPWS are seeking to develop a vibrant and exciting catering facility with a suitable applicant. NPWS will work flexibly with the preferred bidder to support the development of a cafe/ restaurant that enhances the visitor experience in the National Park.
• The franchise is on offer for the fee of only €100 for the year.
• Restaurant is situated in the main Visitor Centre of the National Park, a circular building which can seat up to 90 people.
• The restauraunt is fully furnished.
• The cafeteria style restaurunt is fully fitted with catering equipment for food preparation and a large cold room (Note a Coffee machine is not supplied).
• Public toilets in the building are maintained by the Park Authority.
• Central heating is provided by the Park Authority and some of the hot water is provided by solar panels.
• Emergency lighting and first aid fire equipment is provided by the Park Authority.
• Pest control is provided by the Park Authority.
• The Park Authority will support collaberative marketing and promotional opertunities
• The Park Authority is flexable in their consideration of seasonality, opening times and food type offerings.
• The Park Authority is open to meet and discuss options with prospective bidders prior to submission of tenders.
If you want to be considered for the franchise, the intending tender must make a proposal to the Park Authority on how they intend to provide the service during low (shoulder) and peak seasons.
The successful tender is required to pay electricity, maintenance of equipment, rates, and any additional equipment required.
