From Saturday the 19th until Sunday the 27th of April, there will be an all-day self-guided treasure hunt and an all-day self-guided ‘our place in space” walk.
Drop into the visitor centre to pick up your clues for the treasure hunt and your self-guided Our Place in Space leaflet.
Daily Guided Events 19th – 27th
10am – 10.45 “The early bird” Join our guide on a trek around the Visitor Centre to identify the birds of the park.
11.30 – 1pm “Home Comforts”: Join our guide on a tour around the different habitats at the Visitor Centre and learn about what makes a good habitat for our wildlife.
2pm – 4pm “A Walk In The Park” Join our guide on a 2km family-friendly walk along the nature trail at the Visitor Centre.
Sunday, 27th April, at 10am, “Hike In The Park”
Meeting at the Bothy car park in Leterkeen. Join our guide on the 12km Letterkeen Loop trail for a hike and talk about the rich history of the area and the restoration work that is ongoing in the national park.
May 3rd. All-day events at the Ballycroy Visitor Centre and at the nearby Ballycroy Community Centre as we celebrate Mayo Day in Ballycroy. A full list of events for Mayo Day will be posted next week.
