Castle Tours

For operational reasons the Castle will be closed to tours every Monday and Friday from the 1st June 2025, with the exception of bank holidays.

AE Russell: Glenveagh and Donegal Extended

Nellie’s Restaurant opening Friday 28th March at Glenveagh National Park Visitor Centre!

Our brand new restaurant named in honour of the legendary Nellie, the renowned cook of Glenveagh Castle.  Inspired by her legacy, we’re serving up hearty homemade dishes with a touch of old-world charm right in the heart of the park. Locally sourced coffee & fresh bakes Wholesome meals with a nod to Nellie’s classic recipes.

Object of the Month: March 2025

With St Patrick’s Day approaching, we have a beautiful Irish harp for this month’s object. Originally part of Henry McIlhenny’s collection, it was made in Dublin in the 1820s and stands in the Music Room at Glenveagh Castle.
