Minister O’Sullivan announces the expansion of Connemara National Park and major investment in its walking trails

The Hungry Hiker Café

##Orange Weather Alert##

Due to the ongoing Orange Weather Alert issued by Met Eireann for low temperatures and ice, Connemara National Park will remained closed until 12 noon on Thursday 9th January. Lower and Upper Diamond Hill trails will remain closed during this time.

Connemara National Park Talks

**Cancellation** Due to the bad weather forecast for the remainder of this week, it has been decided to cancel the evening talk on 8th January. The talk has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, 15th January at 7pm. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

##STATUS ORANGE WEATHER WARNING FOR LOW TEMPERATURES AND ICE##

A Status Orange low temperature/ice warning has been issued by Met Éireann and will be in place for the Connacht area, valid from 20.00 Tuesday 07/01/2025 until 10.00 Wednesday 08/01/2025. Dangerous travelling conditions on roads and underfoot. Connemara National Park Visitor Centre will remain closed until 11.00.
