If you’re looking for a longer walk over the winter why not explore the Upper Glen Walk – known locally as the Bridle Path. This 7km stretch can be enjoyed in either direction from the top of the valley heading downhill, or from the castle and gardens. Enjoy Mullangore Woods – some of the most pristine ancient oak woodlands in the park and watch out for a range of wildlife, including the Golden Eagle. This is a remote area of the park and visitors are advised to always be well prepared, with suitable clothing, food and drinks and letting others know of your planned route in advance.
